Top 3 Instagram Follows of The Week

I have a love-hate relationship with Instagram. At best, it's an amazing way to keep in touch with friends, discover new brands and feed my insatiable appetite for videos of dogs that I will never know nor be loved by. At Instagram's worst, it's a narcissistic cesspool. That being said, the key to a positive social media experience for me has been creating a community filled with shit I like and letting go (or unfollowing) any shit that drags me down.

Here are three awesome Instagram accounts I'm following that keep me from needing a social media cleanse.

If you like geeking out on skincare and researching things like chemical peels, injectables, dermasweep, microblading, microneedling or have no idea WTF any of the terms are that I just listed but now feel compelled then follow The Treatment! It's a SoCal skin boutique with super informative posts about all things skin care. The stories and IG Live sessions with Erin Jensen (PA and co-owner) dispel a lot of the false info and shame around aging and cosmetic procedures. Also, "Mondays with Megan" is reason alone to follow, it's a hysterical series with the receptionist Megan who is a god damn delight and will brighten your day.

Inspo for your 2019 dream vacation. Georgia Hopkins is a self-described "travel curator" who travels the world to scout the most unique destinations and experiences and then writes about them - AKA the best job on earth. She's been featured in Vogue and Harpers Bazaar and many of her locations are obscure (at least to me) and usually by the beach. Her blog features city guides for places like Sayulita, the Australian Outback, San Miguel as well as hotel reviews.

WELLNESS: @veeshoney

If you're interested in weird wellness hacks this chick is a great follow. Vanessa Fitzgerald is an LA holistic health coach who specializes in detoxing from Adderall as well as food allergies and hormonal issues like PCOS, endometriosis and Hashimoto's disease. She gives personal reviews on sexy treatments like coffee enemas, lymphatric drainage, cryotherapy, facials, diets and workouts as well as products like non-toxic makeup, juice cleanses and supplements.
