Life's Too Short For Bad Books, Read These!

Updated: May 15, 2019

There's nothing worse than buying a new book only to realize 15 pages in that you hate it. Sound familiar? I endured this hardship last month when I took a chance on an airport bookshop find, "In a Dark, Dark Wood" by Ruth Ware. Do yourself a favor and never read this book because you can surely find better things to do with your time like watching paint dry or nailing jello to the wall. The only silver lining to this story is that it provided me the inspiration to always have a reading list handy.

I rounded up some suggested reads by my dearest friends whom I trust wholeheartedly. Here's a list of their picks! Never leave home without it.

"One of the most heart-wrenching and intoxicating stories I've read in a long time. It follows four men from college through to their middle age, but the beautiful and smart writing throughout made it hard to put down."
